Garden Design Basics: A Sustainable Approach

Ready to step up your gardening game to create (or just edit) your landscape with a sense of intention and cohesion? Interested in learning more about sustainability in your garden? Come learn about the foundations of garden design, all through the lens of ecological sensitivity and environmental stewardship. It’s time to shift our mindsets and break free of traditional garden molds! Explore how to maximize your end product with less input, harmonize beauty and functionality while still providing essential habitat, and better adapt to a changing and unpredictable climate, as well as evolving lifestyles (or life stages!).
Participants will learn to create regionally appropriate garden designs. Students will receive handouts consisting of best practices and a list of Bonni’s favorite plants. Bring something to write with and a notebook, if desired.
By the end of this program, participants will have a better understanding of locally-driven, sustainable garden design and will be able to apply these concepts in their home gardens for beautiful results.
